Placement Confusion

So I just finished my placement matches and I assumed if you were able to get a winning record in your placement matches you should get to move up a rank or 2. I finished 7 and 3 (7 wins and 3 loses) and I get stuck back at Bronze 5. It seems like if I had a losing record that would make sense but no. This hidden system of MMR is dumb because I can't see how my performance changes it and when I do better, I still get stuck at the bottom.

This season had a harder reset than past because of the new dynamic que they put in. This means this season is virtually impossible to improve in rank from the previous season. Before it was possible under certain circumstances. Normally your trend before the placements (meaning how good/bad you were doing up to your placements like win streaks/lose streaks), the order in which you won the games (doesn't matter if you go 7/3 if you lost your first 3 and won the last 7), and your previous rank. First one is straight forward and essentially means don't dick around in preseason in ranked. Second means each game in the 10 placements has meaning. With each game having less meaning than the first. So overall means nothing in terms of placements. Last is straight forward its your rank from last season.

Next you are bronze 5. There is no bottom, no place to demote to. You could be the worst player and no amount of wins would overcome the deficit. To ad there isn't much of a difference between the bronze divisions. The only part thats different are the people who just don't understand the game in any capacity.

there is nothing broken about the system. if you are low elo / mmr, you get placed in bronze. if you don't belong in bronze you will climb. if you are complaining that you were silver and you get placed in bronze look at all the high elo players who were challenger, masters or diamond. The highest they can get placed is Plat 1. yes. a challenger player loses 3 tiers, not just one. Stop complaining, play the game. If you are better than bronze you will not be bronze for long. If you cant win and climb, it merely indicates that you are where you belong for the moment. The moment you get better, you will start climbing. that's how the game works!
