Let's rename the support role
Anytime I join a champ select and someone says 'sup', i'm like 'yo', and lock in Janna. Can we get some other name for this?

Or you can assume the worst case scenario that they meant "support", and verify their role call?

i don't see a problem, nobody calls for support
This is why I call "supp pref," but even "sup pref" is easier to understand (unless there's a summoner name in the lobby that this might refer to).
Might as well rename it "Mages in bot lane" for this season.
