Ranked - It Is Beginning To Feel a Lot Like Bronze 5 Hell

Last Season I was ranked in Silver initially; however, I continue to find, especially since this season decided to start me in Bronze 5: I encounter the vast majority of games are now going the route of grouping me with allies who struggle greatly against the team that we are matched against. Seriously?! With these matches -- it isn't easy to keep any amount of LP with the imbalance in the outcome of these games. It is extremely frustrating when the Ranked matchmaker, more often than not, matches my team against another who essentially gets double of my teams kills in the vast majority of matches. I will add that this was in consecutive games. Is anyone else finding something similar?

Update: Added game three with essentially the same result.

Holyshit that Caitlyn game 50 deaths, straight up 1v5 for you with only 2 deaths, why do you get paired with these guys? Lmao Evelyn went 2/13

I have had a few games were I thought "Is this guy really close to my elo?" I have had a few games where I just get completely dominated and can't believe we were matched together. I've had games the other way around as well... It does seem like its getting more and more rare to find an evenly matched game. I figured it was just me having bad days etc.

Maybe matchmaking does need to be looked at?

Although, we've seen some serious stomps in worlds too... where you don't really expect to see one-sided matches. Maybe people are right about champ balance being out of whack.

yeah, it's nuts. tons of people got dropped many divisions. I think perhaps they deliberately did an experiment to put a bunch of people who dont belong in b5, in b5 this season, to see if elo hell really exists.

OKAY YOU'VE PROVEN IT DOES, NOW CAN WE END THE EXPERIMENT PLS? !!!

Years and years of Rito experience backs all decisions. Keep calm and don't face check.

When I was bronze 5, I learned alot. One thing I learned down there, is the second someone starts feeding, assist them in making good decisions. Watch their lane, ping retreats, ping enemy ganks, ping allied ganks, ect. Also, if you truely deserve to leave bronze you will learn to carry 1v5s. Peoples mechanics in bronze are so lackluster that it is an easy task to accomplish, provided you are truely better than a bronze player.

I started the season in bronze 5 as well. Now, people will tell you what they want to tell you; "Play a hyper carry, and just carry their asses out of bronze". No, that isn't how it works. I once lost a game going 23/4/7 on Udyr jg (pre-sated). The thing is, it still IS a team game, regardless of how bad your team may be. Honestly, the best way to climb is to play out-of-meta picks (not like AD Braum top - although good, your teammates will likely afk for you doing it), but tell your team ahead of time what to do with it.

I climbed to Silver 4 with Mordekaiser (pre-rework) mid/top, because the other team just had no idea how to play against it. And in champ select I would say "Pick Amumu jg, leona support, or just people with General engage, and we'll be fine this match. I have frontloaded aoe damage, I just need you guys to stun them all in one spot". 9 times out of 10, my team would listen, just because it sounded like a complex strategy to them (even though it was pretty simple), and for bronze, it's all about making "smart" decisions.
