Screaming at Riot Doesn't Help Them Improve.

If you right something insightful on boards or Reddit, they will most likely see it. Reds lurk a lot. Many of them even respond. But, slinging shit at them doesn't do anything for them and (no fuckin' duh) has a very negative impact on the community-company relationship. By being a winy vocal minority you're plaguing the view of the community. They have a lot of shit to do and they don't need the playerbase breathing down their neck making the situation worse.

While I totally agree with you, I think a reasonable part of the issue here is a lack of consistent dialogue from Riot's end. Some players can end up being pretty unreasonable or misguided ("skin artist fix server u noob"), of course, but quite a few complaints I see are actually just people trying to elicit a response for an issue they feel passionate about.

It's definitely damaging to everyone having these kneejerk extremely critical threads/comments, but it wouldn't be happening anywhere near as much if it were more vilified than it is now. The initial comments might be somewhat hateful or aggressive, but the underlying premise is maybe something people can identify with and want explained.

As soon as they can start releasing, anything, on a decent timeline sure. If replays, client, lore, etc. were not coming SO slowly I could believe this post. From all appearances Riot is a group of talented people that is being completely mismanaged and as soon as League is no longer popular they are pretty screwed. Why does it take SO long to get any features or additions to the game? They only have 1 game, tons of employees and money, but all content and features comes super slow. This tells me they have very poor leadership.

"They have a lot of shit to do"

Yeah, and none of it is getting done in a reasonable timeframe. Nobody in charge to make deadlines and direct groups. Just a bunch of pure chaos and people running around doing whatever they want.

Screaming at Riot doesn't help them improve.

But apparently, neither does writing well thought out messages.

It is ok to expect quality out of the biggest game is the world.

I know their is problems and unexpected stuff but Riot get no excuse for not putting the best quality out their they have so much money still.

Maybe people scream at Riot because calm dialog doesn't work?

idk it's been a month and they havent fixed the friend request issue, I think i need to yell at them MORE

I think their lack of real connection to the community, in the sense that they don't let us know what they're doing for anything that is an issue, is the reason why people scream. They don't really communicate at all. They just "causally post". At least that is how I feel. I'm not asking for spoilers on skins or game modes. I'm asking for direct communication between the company and the community about the issues that affect the community or both company and community at the same time.

Kind of like how raging at your team doesn't magically turn them into LCS players.

they could make different server locations and have more then one server considering they have one right now for north america but china ( a smaller land mass ) has about 20 servers

Having nice discussions on the forum With them also doesn't mean they won't ignore any well thought out and agreed upon input either.

They listen, they also ignore as well.

So, a distinction needs to be made here: screaming versus negative feedback. Yes, screaming doesn't help and isn't good. On the other hand, Riot deserves all kinds of negative feedback, and they need to start listening. Maybe if they listened, people wouldn't feel they need to scream?
