So I've been playing LoL since beta and have been gold in season 1, 2, and 4. I'm wondering what it takes to make the leap to plat? Should I just focus on mastering a good champ? learn a bunch of champs? I'd just like to hear from a few people who have broken through the barrier that most of us cant.
I play Cho top mainly, heimer/cass mid, cait/morg/thresh bot. and jungle noc or yi
um... well I supported through sivler gold to plat and I must say that there is not trick. In last deiding match in promotion to plat I was forced to play on mid. And having little experience I picked Gragas which i played in ranked only once before. I was quite useless though I did not feed, but I actually did little.
I guess you need either god portion of luck or skill.
I was focusing on one lane (support) with one champion (nami) and occasionaly played something else if circumstances demanded it. If you are playing mostly good you will have to eventually end up in plat.
