@Riot, Buy the Dawngate servers!

For East Coast players Dawngate had little to no lag, I would frequently play at 40ms on Dawngate, while 90-120 on League. Now that Dawngate is being shut down why not buy the servers and the location from EA. Giving instant relief to your east coast players. This would make a few problems for sure, but would also solve the one that we have been waiting about 3 years for a solution.

The servers are already there, there is already a location, and we know that they work. Use them as a building tool to help for the future server move and give east coast players a break now.

Riot already owns "east coast" servers in Miami. They don't need to buy new ones if they want "East Coast NA".

They don't use them for the East Coast, and I don't enjoy playing on LAN since I don't speak Spanish, So they essentially do not exist as far as east coast players are concerned.

But that isn't your argument rofl. Your argument is that buying dawngate's infrastructure will help riot make east coast servers. They already HAVE east coast servers. If they want to create an "NA-East Coast", all they need to do is sign the paperwork and update the names, no inheriting anything from any other gaming company involved.

Not really, if they did that there wouldn't be a LAN....They can't split that work load. It would be either East Coast NA, or LAN....but they won't remove a whole region to help out our ping problem.

This solves the issue for east coast ping, it's apparent that it doesn't even affect you, so why chime in?

And you're right, it doesn't affect me. I've had a solid 80 ping connection everywhere I've lived on the east coast (Pittsburgh, DC, and NYC).

I'm downvoting you because you are ignoring the elephant in the room.

Riot needs to do something about East Coast ping.

It is unacceptable that the majority of east coast is slapped with 80-140 ping while the servers sit in Cali giving west coast players a harsh advantage. 20-50 ping.

Part of their issue was selecting location. Buying the servers from dawngate would be cheaper than new servers arguably, they are already installed at a location, all Riot would need to do is make the servers work to their needs.

I'm a CCNA major, who already works in the networking field. So yes, I know what a server is.

It's just a good opportunity to help out the east coast at a little lower cost for Riot when they are already installed and could be made to help east coast much faster than buying new servers, setting them up at a location yet to be determined, and then making them work for Riot. You cut out 2 steps of the process by buying them from Dawngate.

Yea no i dont think they should buy the Dawngate servers because then the Dawngate players that still have 90 days to play the game would be screwed over. Dawngate was a great game and EA shut it down ONE MONTH before they were gunna unload a ton of new features and ranked. the new features and Ranked would have brought a ton of players to it real quick. Not to mention i think they were gunna go with Dota 2s all shapers are free thing.

Now that Dawngate, which was my favorite moba, is shut down, I actually wih they would buy the rights and add it as a new map with all champions. I miss Mina, Ashabelle and Sakari. Ugh, and kindra too.
