End of Season Rewards Question
What happens if I get demoted from gold to silver before the season is over? Do I not get the rewards from gold ?

Rewards are based off of where you are when the season ends, not your highest point. If you're currently Silver, you would not receive Gold rewards. You would need to get back up to Gold before the season ends at 12:01 AM PST.
That is correct. However, in order to be demoted from Division V of a tier, your MMR needs to be about a full tier lower. So you would have to continuously lose until you were playing against people with Silver V MMR before a demotion would happen.
i got demoted from gold 5 to silver 1 so do I lose rewards for the season?
Unless you can get back to gold 5 in 6 hours, which is totally doable, then yes you lost your rewards for the season.
My friend has been sitting on gold 5 0lp for months now just waiting for his rewards.
