Sooo I have this skin shard....

I got an ultimate skin shard of DJ Sona early on, and I now have enough orange essence to upgrade it to a skin permanent. The thing is I never play sona. So, I have two options, either turn the shard into more orange essence and wait till i get a skin 4 a champ i use, or i can upgrade it and have a cool skin the next time i get autofilled into support. What should I do?

Get it, so you have a cool skin for the autofill, that way, there's a positive :p I have pentakill sona, Dryad soraka, SPellthief & sorceress Lux, super teemo, although I actually play support willingly.

hold on to the shard until you get a skin you possibly want more, then make your choice

Same here, except I have Spirit Guard Udyr.... never played that guy... I bought it because of that shard but he's not my cup of tea...
