Hi guys, the following is me venting about my horrible luck. I probably won't check back here after I write it, I just needed to let off some steam.

Ok. So I've been playing LoL since preseason 3, but never played ranked that entire season. I decided to give it a try at the end of this season and maybe get some cool rewards and get a feel for ranked games for season 5. So far I've played 4 placement matches, and I am now depressed as fuck.

Three of my four games have been 4v5 (the 4 is my team) for all or part of the game. Despite that, I got a victory in one of those games due to a super peppy bot-lane (I was top) that destroyed everyone. Still, that many DCs (and only on my team, wtf) made me really disappointed. I thought people would care a little more about ranked, but I am getting just as many if not more DCs in ranked than normals.

Here comes the wall...

My latest ranked game (the fourth placement match) is my reason for writing this. I sat in queue for a very long time, because the first three games I got into had dodgers. Despite that, every team I was in seemed to be made up of nice people and people were getting roles they liked (I usually try to fill so no one rages). Finally I got in a game, I said that I preferred top, but was willing to go anywhere. A Wukong chose top, and Rammus was jungle. I was in the bottom 3 to pick for our team. I asked what role my teammates wanted to play, but no one answered. So I chose Varus for ADC, since I am confident in my last-hitting with him (I like his animation a lot). The other two people on my team picked Yasuo (makes sense, we had no mid yet)... and Xin Zhao. There was no support... great. The Xin kicked Wukong out of top (he became my "support") and proceeded to only split push and feed the enemy Darius (he was 0/3/0 when I looked, with the rest of our team having no deaths). Our junglier (Rammus) never came bottom, and Yasuo was complaining at him (probably for not helping mid either). Maybe Rammus was trying to help Xin, so I guess I don't have enough information to say he was bad. As usual I decided not to say anything about our players, because it always ends in raging in my experience. Our Wukong, who was forced to go bottom lane with me, ended up doing super well and I wish so much that he would've been top like he wanted. Without a support or peel I couldn't get any kills, but still managed a lot of assists. I lost hard in farm during laning; I was zoned by a Morgana but really the poor farm was my fault. The enemy team got a free baron since we had 0 ward coverage with no wards from Rammus and no true support. The five of them stormed our base, with just a few of us actually defending (Xin was split pushing apparently). Defeat.

TL;DR: My placements are full of DCs on my team, and my last one had no support while I was ADC. I was hoping to get low Silver with two of my close friends who started ranked this season... but Bronze 5 here I come.

I won 3/10 of my promos and was Silver 5 it took me less than 100 ranked games to get gold. If you are good and you play enough games you will climb. Too many people look at a few games and think EVERY game will be the same. I've lost 13 games in a row and failed promos but don't focus on a small portion of games I look at the big picture. So I say congrats you played 4 crappy games I have played over 200 ranked games you are complaining about 2% of what I have played. Those 10 provisional games are not the basis of all ranked games.

This happened to me in august and really made it literally impossible to play ranked, I feel cheated too dude, it's frustrating and quite a shame when you are denied things you know you can achieve because of something outside of your own control.

I would have been playing ranked since August but because of the server issues and afk/DC's I've stuck mostly to unranked where i feel if I lose control (which has gotten better since mind you, but for a few months was very bad) I'm penalized less, and people take the game a lot easier.

Everything should get better in the upcoming months, but I have noticed a slight improvement overall in the past couple weeks

Just an update. I took to heart Left for Zed's post and was also contacted by someone else who viewed the thread. I decided to calm down and go into my next games with a calm mind no matter what happened. I ended up winning 4 of 10 games and was placed in Silver IV. :)
