Anyone figured out how to use Game DVR in Windows 10 with League yet?
I've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to this. Microsoft tech support is useless (big surprise there) and nobody I've seen has been able to record it more than once. That in itself is an oddity though, because I too was able to record once. Just once, the first time, and every time after that has given me an error that said "Something went wrong and we couldn't change your settings. Try again later." I've attached a picture of the error in question. In my searching I found other people with the same problem, in different games, and they too were able to record once, the very first time they tried, and then never again. It seems extremely peculiar to me that it always works once with these games, and then never again. However, since the one recording works, saving in the correct folder and showing everything happening as it should, it seems to me that Game DVR can work with this game, but something is preventing it from doing so reliably. If anyone can figure out how to do this reliably, that would be a huge help. No more relying on third party applications and hoping they don't break or anything like that.
For those intending to try this themselves, you might encounter a problem in getting the text box asking if you want this to be recognized as a game to show up at all. You can change it to Windowed mode, and then alt-tab to a different window (which unlocks your mouse from the League window), then while clicking and holding on the top bar of the League window press Win+G. However, this is annoying and tedious, not to mention the fact that it always glitches out for me when I do this and sends League to the bottom of the screen, preventing me from seeing anything. A far more reliable method that I've found is plugging in an Xbox controller and simply pressing the Guide button (the big X in the middle). Unfortunately, this still requires League to be in Windowed mode, but it is still far easier than the first option.
