Should Players in the Fifth Division Drop?

I'm sure there's plenty of threads out there of players arguing that the fifth division of every tier shouldn't have immunity due to a large array of reasons.

My question is, do you believe that fifth division players drop down to the previous tier? Why or why not?

Why am I making a thread on this? Because it's an increasing problem. The filter for players that can't drop a certain elo is harming the game in so many ways.

For one, ELO BOOSTING is highly favored, people throw down money with no shame in a game that's meant to climb for skill/cooperation. There's people that are stuck in other player's promo games because they cannot drop lower than they already are, and since they don't belong there, they cannot keep up with the level of play thus ruining the experience for the majority of players on that team.

Think of it as buying KDA in a FPS game except that your KDA doesn't ever drop once it hit's a certain cap. Another reason is griefing. For all those who aren't familiar with griefing, it's when players in game perform game actions that don't break rules but are frowned upon by other players. In other words, "troll" or annoying or sometimes even considered bad.

I won't go any further as you can already see the countless situations that can possibly stem from one player, but those players aren't toxic at all, they just play within the games and rules boundaries while making other feels uncomfortable to play with.

As for me, I enjoy playing the game, and I enjoy the competitiveness of players trying hard against me, as I play hard against them, but when I lose because someone threatens to afk or someone is intentionally feeding and saving enemy team members by knocking them away with skill shots from AoE ulti's as such, it annoys me that they can continue to do so without any form of punishment. Report for unskilled? Report for assisting enemy team? Those don't get players banned unfortunately, but happen ALL the time.

This is why I highly favor that the fifth of every division such as S5/B5/G5/P5/D5 should have some sort of system that a drop is possible but unlikely. I honestly hate getting paired up with Diamond 5 players, they all think they know the game when they really play like some demented being in a level where they don't belong and ruin my fun along with the game. I don't know what it is, but having a ELO decay just doesn't cut it for me. ELO decay is a great system, but I think there should be something to coexist for active players.

People say - "Oh then their MMR will be bad", let's be honest, who cares about the hidden elo rating (MMR) as much as the badge that players can actually view. Also, it's very easy to get back MMR (or lose in certain cases) with streaks.

This is my concern and I think that it will get out of hand as the game grows bigger than it already is. With more people paying to ELO boost, it degrades the community and hinders the professional scene of NA/EU League of Legends, preventing many potential players from entering amateur/professional scenes. This is just one possibility, but I know the struggle of having a person who doesn't care because it's not their promos, and you're in yours and then they have fun making the game experience as worse as possible for you because of their lack of ability to play well.

And no, for all those players who tell others and believe that- "If you deserve to get to that elo, you'll get it by getting better yourself, not teammates."

^ The only players who actually have the right to say that are Diamond 1's and Challengers, or unless the player who states the quote is at least 2 divisions or higher than the person they are saying it too.

Yes thanks for noticing that I might be 1/2/1 but did you notice the 1/8 mid and 0/5 top laner? Do you think that I could have avoided these deaths if they weren't so fed and able to roam so much more efficiently? So yeah, just throwing it out there, there are MANY MANY variables as to why players are unable to climb, the most common one is teammates and it's possibly the most truest one.

If I'm not mistaken, they are updating ranked in season four so that players can be demoted out of division five into lower ranked tiers.
