I'm just a guy on a chump stump team in Bronze and I am just infuriated by the elo system in which Ranked 5v5 team games work. My team, we are Silver and Bronze players, and it so happens that we got placed against a team with a 2 Golds, a Plat 1 and a Diamond 3. I'd just like to know what other peoples struggles are and if Riot could do anything to help this. I'll just keep playing solo queue until something happens and thanks for your replies.
How? Even if you invite a friend, I find the matchups try to scale to compliment the difference in rank if you invite a higher or lower ranked partner than yourself.
It was probably a glitch or outlier in the system matchup. That shouldn't happen as far as I know and other than normals, I've never seen rank disparity like that. Even normals are somewhat methodical in their balancing.
Looking at your match history, I only see one gold player on an opposing team and he's the only one above silver league in all your lost games. In-general, the matchmaker seems to be working. He was probably thrown in to account for the two unranked players on his team or something.
