quick thought on hextech chest

Ok so i own all the champions and i noticed i still get champion shards out of the chest. So i went to see what i can do with them and from all i found if you own all the champions there worthless and do nothing for you. I mean you can break them down for blue essence but that is only for unlocking champions so still useless. Kind of think anyone who owns them all should just not et champion shard. Any thought or upvotes would be appreciated so riot will see this and hopefully address it kind of lame earnign a chest that you open and get a useless item.
