Disciplinary actions at lower rankings

So, here's my deal.

This is my first time ever posting on the site within the 4-5 years I have been playing, and it is unfortunate that this is my first posting.

Is anything really being done about the majority of flaming, toxic, and afk infested elo's of Bronze? This is ridiculous. I'm not complaining about being in Bronze, not complaining about having bad teammates, I'm talking about the real scum, and I feel like that is generally the real problem behind getting out of Bronze, because this isn't the first game I've had on my unfortunate climb out, where I've encountered somebody who just doesn't care, and this time it happened to be two players.

So I ask again, what's being done? And if something IS being done, why does the problem persist and is so prevalent?

From what I can tell Riot has a lot of systems in place to deal with toxic or immature players in general. Ranked restrictions are a thing, as are chat restrictions, 14 day suspensions, and perm-bans. Leaverbuster will flag you for leaving early and put you in low queue priority, leave enough and worse happens.

Obviously the system isn't perfect, but it's not easy to program something as massive as behavior moderating, especially when actions taken may impact players who have spent a lot of money on their accounts. You have to take into account their rights as a consumer and more important than getting the negative players removed, you have to avoid false positives so that good people aren't getting punished.

I see Riot taking the steps so I feel good about it. Sorry you're having a bad experience personally.

From what I know, the Tribunal has been shut down for over a year now and ranked games are pretty much the wild west. Only thing that's actually disciplining the toxic players is like the leaverbuster or something, but as far as being banned for verbal abuse, feeding, etc...From what I can tell and what I've heard, absolutely nothing is in place to stop this behavior unfortunately. :/

If you're good enough you will carry, simple.
