The Sorrows of a "Fill" - Caller

Do you actually know that moment when you call "fill" and exactly THIS happens? :

-You call fill

-two people call top

-one switches over to a different role

-time runs down

-10 seconds before your champ should be picked, someone asks you : "X" , what lane are you playing?

-That dude picks a champ in the last 2 seconds and expects you to pick one as well

Please, for the love of all the gods , when someone ( like me ) calls "fill" , pick at least your ROLE as soon as possible, so that the filler can adapt. It may be funny to see someone deal with the situation of two seconds pick time for him, but hey, you'll just land back in the queue finder. I really don't get the cruelty towards a nice guy ( Braum ) that just wants everyone to get his fav. role . Call your roles, be happy that someone acts recessive, enjoy a game .

If I call a role it's in my team's best interest to do everything for me to get said role.

I mean, I can also play Support Master Yi, but it's on you. Kappa

I however had many situations where I was like "mid or top" and asked which lane dude with questionable pick goes (like Nidalee back when she was played in 3 different roles). I picked mid and then the dude was butthurt I trolled him - he haven't said a word durning whole champion select until then. While not exactly the situation you described I can relate to your feelings.

I usually just don't say a word and let pick order do the trick. Exception is if I'm an early pick then I'll call my role as I select it, or let my team know that it's a flex pick for mid/top since I do a lot of those.

It bothers me when the person who picks before me in order takes forever to pick (at the same time, but technically still one above me). I sit there waiting for them to pick because they're first pick over me and some people just run the time down and give me like 5 seconds to react. It's really annoying.

If i'm lower than 2nd pick, I typically want to be last pick red side.

If you fill, and say it more than once, and people don't pick anything in a reasonable amount of time, just take the role you'd prefer. You gave them more than enough chance to pick. :D
