Question about what team you'll be in

I was going to write a long text but i dont feel like it, so heres what i want to know. *What decides what team you'll be in (In SoloQ)? I Have hard to belive it is 50% random since my latest 10 games have been on blue side...

Playing the same team 10 times in a row forced me to tilt & i've taken a day break yet found it help nothing..

The latest 10 games i've queued for ranked soloQ i've gotten into blue team. I hate blue team ...

It's my understanding that the side you're placed on is dependent on your team's average MMR - the team with higher MMR gets purple side.

Still, the matchmaking algorithm is supposed to balance which side of that equation you're on over time. Which doesn't preclude streaks of placement on either side in particular.
