Hey guys, welcome to the inaugural 'Meanwhile in Top Lane...' post, with hawt new banner courtesy of Crazy Boris.

A lot happens in a week - interesting discussions constantly pop up throughout the League ecosystem only to be replaced by the newest hotness and fall out of visibility. Hot topics of discussion don’t always stay that way for very long, so unless you’re on top of it all day every day (and who has time for that when there’s a ranked ladder to climb?), it’s easy to miss a lot.

As we mentioned in our test post, with this in mind we'd like to try out a weekly post featuring some interesting conversations you may have missed as well as upcoming discussions opportunities.

Lyte conducted an impromptu Q&A on the status of the Tribunal, during which he shared and discussed new features that will be gradually implemented once it returns.

MSI and East Coast ping

Folks pointed to pro players getting LAN accounts for MSI practice as all the proof needed that East Coast ping is less than awesome, and we jumped into the thread to discuss our latest NA server initiatives.

YouTuber Redmercy AMA

Redmercy (known for his LoL videos and being the self-proclaimed worst Zed NA) addressed pressing questions like "How long have you been Russian?" Oh, and ones about his process and craft or something.

My favorite part of this is it gets stuff from more than just the boards. It is very helpful for me since I don't spend any time on Reddit.

Kidding of course, I think it's a great first post from what I can tell skimming around. I think you may want to consider adding this post from scarizard as it's time sensitive and not everyone journies into the Gameplay & Balance board. Otherwise I don't have much to suggest adding content wise what with finals being a thing. Haven't been lurking around as often I usually do :P

Starlighte's lore post is up there and I mean, hell, I actually did miss that skywilliams vid until I saw it here, so mission accomplished guys!

I am really scared of the Taric rework. Now that I mastered him in so many lanes I am afraid for him. And I am kind of sure that Riot is going to delete the only point and click stun left in the game (because you know, they can't let anybody to touch those mobility creeps). I hope he is still an anti AD champion or I don't know. I will really be disappointed to lose one of my favorite champions.

I feel like the only problem with the new lores is that they lack the ability to truly impress. They have fallen into either short little stories that leave us wondering what their character's background is like, or they leave us wondering what their character is like through just giving us a skeleton outline of their background. I wish that they would come up with something truly amazing again, considering that for me, the last good lore was given to Yasuo, and every champ since has just felt... very, very mediocre compared
