I need to get demoted, will I get demoted?

So, long story short, I have another account at D5 0LP that has pretty low MMR (op.gg says it has a plat 3 MMR) and I haven't played in some time (about 3 weeks), will it get demoted to plat if I stay inactive?

Reasons for me to let this account get demoted is that I've gotten to a point in which I don't want to play league anymore because my MMR being so low I get 13-15 lp wins and -25,-27 lp defeats, it just stresses me out that even if I try my best I just kept going back to 0lp and to be honest, since school started a month ago I've had less time to play seriously.

So yeah, that's about it, I rather be demoted to where I belong and start climbing up again with equal lp gains/losses than keep playing how it is right now.

First. Forget about LP and rank and just play to win. Rank shouldn't stop you from playing the game at all. You'll get better and better and eventually be where you deserve to.

Second. No. Unless you're in challenger mode then you don't get demoted for not playing. Challenger mode is the only rank I believe that will lower your points to make room for the new rising challengers. You will have that MMR on your account forever until you decide to play on it again and either lose or win to change it.

Yes, you will be demoted to Platinum 1 eventually due to elo decay in Plat+.

"If you fall at or below zero LP as a result of decay, you'll be placed in the next-lowest division. If you're already in division V of your tier, you'll fall into the next tier down (for example, Platinum V to Gold I). Decay doesn't occur for players in Bronze, Silver, or Gold."
