A Multi-Queue Ranked System

I can understand that prior to having a huge user base that it is reasonable to limit the amount of people who can Queue for ranked. As of now, there are the modes single, duo, and team. My question is this: Why limit to 1,2, or 5 people? Would it be unreasonable to queue with three or four people? I mean, my group of friends and I work different schedules and rarely do all of us log in at the same time. At max, we would have 3-4 at once. What do you guys think?
