22 Game Chat Suspension for no Reason and With no Warning

Title pretty much says it all. I just got a 22 game chat restriction when the ONLY thing I said during that match that could be taken as offensive is "my quadra.....not cool" when my support last hit an enemy. I don't think I cursed or yelled at anyone in the game a single time, let alone anyone on my team. It would be nice if a mod could look into this and share my chat logs from that game and investigate why this happened. I would genuinely welcome a 'Lyte Smite' or whatever, because I am thoroughly confused as to what I could have possibly said to earn a chat restriction.

Are chat restrictions automated? To they automatically chat restrict you based on the number of reports you get? Or does someone at riot actually look at the logs before they do it?

Automated... but to get banned you would have to have been reported lots before this match OR DODGE/AFK a lot (both on same trigger). IF you feel this game you were "clean" you can always appeal it.

Ugh that's frustrating. How do I go about appealing it?

You can't. They don't remove chat restrictions. Don't bother. If you contact them, all they'll do is give you the same copy-pasted message they give everyone.

While the Tribunal is in recess, we're unable to provide specific chat logs or reform cards for chat restrictions. I'd be happy to help clarify what's going on but it's important to note ahead of time, we will not be removing or reducing the number of chat restrictions placed on an account

We've investigated your account and found higher than average levels of toxicity as a result of your actions in the matches you play. As a result, we have decided to place chat restrictions on your account to help you adjust your behavior in-game.

Our chat restriction system is in place while the Tribunal is currently in extended maintenance while the Development team works on improved features and enhancements.

The chat restriction system works by analyzing recently played games on your account. This doesn't take into account the amount of time that passes between games, which prevents players from simply waiting out punishments. Additional chat restrictions may be placed after your first round is complete if there is no visible improvement in behavior. It's possible to receive punishments harsher than chat restrictions should toxic behavior persist (including temporary and permanent suspensions).

It's important to remember that there is no excuse for being rude to others. If you think other players are intentionally trolling, then be sure to report them at the end of the game. Arguing with them in-game is rarely an effective tactic. If you're having a bad game, insulting your teammates doesn't help them improve, and it won't help you win the match. If you're not going to say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

If an argument is getting heated within the game, you have a few options. You can hide [ALL] chat, mute individual players, or move the chat box away from the screen.

Unbelievable. I put in a support ticket anyways with the small hope that I will get some real help. This new behavior system riot put in place recently is absurd and far too strict.

Well like I said the reason u are getting banned because yoru being reported in other games... so keep this in mind. IF you dodge or AFK a lot it will also shut u down as well.

Yeah I mean I get that but I haven't dodged or gone AFK a single time on this account so I know that can't be it. I must have been reported for verbal abuse but I can NOT think of anything that I have said that is even coming close to warranting a 22 game chat restriction. There's only been 1 game I got frustrated at, and it was with an intentionally feeding teemo. I think the worst I said during that game was "fuck you, you suck".

If that's specifically what I got banned for, I don't think that deserves 22 restricted games. I've said things a hell of a lot worse on my main account and have never been chat restricted on it.

Don't invest in this game. Lyte has already stated even saying "gg easy" is now flagged by the report bot. If you upset a duo queue, you'll get reported, why wouldn't they? They will never be punished for false accusation and if you said gg easy, it is legitimized. If you said the word report, it is legitimized, if you say afk or feed I'm sure it's tagged as negative.

I've said it before I'll say it again, the most toxic thing about this game is Lyte and his ideas about solving a huge problem.
