This game was fun but the community has changed in the wrong way

I started playing league at the start of season 3 I thought it was the best game I had ever played free and fun what is there to lose in season 3 most of my time was taken up trying to get to level 30 but when I did it felt like a massive accomplishment. I did my ranked placements I got bronze 2(I'm not that good) , after them I played a few duo queue games with friends but not much.At that point I felt like the league community was good (coming from the play station and more in particular the fifa community my standards where not that high) . During the preseason of season 4 I prepared champions for each role and really wanted to get as high as I could get in that season. So when the season started I really spent a lot of time playing ranked and pushed to get higher than my friends in the end I got silver 2 which was ok, but I started to notice the game was not what it used to be I got more trolls and AFK's than ever before and people just acted like pricks in game not working together, constantly blaming champion selection, luck ETC. And this got me thinking do I want to play a game where the odds are very regularly against me and I get home from school were people act like pricks to go on to a game I used to enjoy playing and be with the same sort of people that I have to put up with all day. But still due to friends playing the game and other factors I went into preseason 5 the same as I did season 4 preparing champions and making sure that I could get to as high division as I could. But today I played some ranked fully knowing what sort of people that I would be with and against. I played 2 games the games either had a troll of sort, 1 or more flamers or just someone who joins and goes AFK but in the second game a certain player said something that I really took offence to(I am a football referee and I went to an all boys school so I would say I'm pretty thick skinned when it comes to abuse taking) and that game really made me ask these questions of myself and the game.

1. Why am I still playing a game that I no longer enjoy?

2. What is wrong with the league community
