Majorly disappointed in Hextech Crafting

As a player who owns every champion, I am majorly disappointed in the crafting system. I have even bought chests (I've opened about 15 in total) and I have only gotten one skin shard, the rest are all champion shards. So now I am sitting with a bunch of champion shards I cannot do anything with and zero new skins. I find this hard to believe when there are more skins in the game than there are champions ( way more) and I'm a little pissed that I'm only getting champion shards. Any one else in the same boat as me?
