The Champion is stronger after the rework, why complain?! (+ MORE MORDEKAISER COMPLAINING)

I hate this argument. I will explain why though. Skip to the Bolded paragraph if you don't want to hear my wordyness of words.

Because this has happened with many of my champions in the past and they end up getting rebalanced due to those problems. I've been playing since Season 1 and I'm going to mention some champions that have had buffs in areas where really they shouldn't of been buffed, but then get rebalanced due to a buff we didn't want.

Some of the champs I play (or used to play) include Shyvana, Nasus, Sejuani, Maokai, Skarner and Mordekaiser. Many of these champions have either been changed or given buffs that would edge them to completely strong only for something else to give entirely. While some, like Shyvana and Sejuani, I have sort of welcomed with open arms (I've played both of those since their releases), others I have to wonder why. Before Sejuani's rework in Frejlord, she was one of my most played champions in the game and while I mostly played normals, I was rocking a 84% winrate.

Nasus Nasus for a start. Season 3 he became a jungler. I actually really still like Nasus Jungle, but he gained a bunch of buffs that allowed him to become a jungler. A lot of it was aimed at the fact his Q could now get double stacks on bigger creeps/monsters and that his skills gained extra range with his ultimate. An earlier patch back at Season 1/2 gave him extra Life Steal to allow him a chance to Jungle... though that ultimately didn't really catch on. (I enjoyed it though! Season 2 Jungle Nasus was fun for me.)

Out of all those champions mentioned, Nasus actually had some of those changes reverted. Extra range on Wither was no longer a thing on his ultimate. If I also recall correctly, some of his lifesteal was toned down as well. Jungle Nasus doesn't plague the world as much anymore, though I still play it (and sometimes get flamed for it.)

Maokai Jungle Maokai. Maokai was a favourite of mine, then I found out a couple of months later TheOddOne was doing it. Awesome. His rework though recently gave him a great buff. However he was no longer a pure tank in the Jungle, rather he became a AP Bruiser at Top Lane. Everything is now balanced around his AP Bruiser rather than his tank and in turn he gets nerfed due to those stats. We did complain about this originally: That Riot had changed Maokai completely. (Fun Fact and Lore Related: Does anyone remember when Maokai was a tree from the Twisted Treeline in Zaun and that the Haunted Maokai skin was if he was born from the Shadow Isles Twisted Treeline? Riot even stated that Maokai wasn't being rehomed to the Shadow Isles, yet now he belongs to the Shadow Isles in the lore.) Oh I can still play him Jungle and although unlike Nasus where I'd get flamed for doing it, I get the same argument from my team: "Why Jungle them when they're a better top laner?"

(Also Fun Fact: Can we PLEASE change the Charred Maokai Skin so it doesn't look like Malphite? That used to be my favourite skin but now I really dislike it due to me getting confused.)

Skarner Skarner. Skarner, Skarner, Skarner. I posted Skarner three more times since that's how many reworks I recall him having. As someone who brought him on release, it did disappoint that he would change pretty much the equivalent of once a season almost now. However I got the great argument when Skarner (and Mordekaiser) got changed that "Skarner is stronger now! Why are you complaining?" Because now Skarner is going to be balanced around those Crystal Spire Zones more than himself. Because he's more feast/famine now. Though to be fair, he resembles more the champ he did than...

Mordekaiser Mordekaiser. Riot, you screwed this one up. I won't lie: I stopped playing Mordekaiser after I transferred servers around Season 4. There were certain champs I stopped playing but still enjoyed once and a while and Mordekaiser was one of them. When Mordekaiser got his 'Texture Update', first thing I did was play a few games with him. When Mordekaiser got some changes with 'magnets' on his W, I played again a couple of games with him. Every time Mordekaiser got a buff, a change or something I went and played him again. Luden's Echo came out? I went and played Mordekaiser.

When Mordekaiser's Yuggernaught update occured, I did not straight away play Mordekaiser. No, I had to try out Skarner first and he was the one I was more worried about as a Jungler Main. I've only played new Mordekaiser on NA against actual people. I simply don't get it. I picked Mordekaiser because I liked being an AP Wave shoving damage soaking soul stealing metal crushing monster who siphoned the populace with destruction. I did not pick him because I wanted to build a Trinity Force and Sterak's Gage mace of spading people to death. To balance this new Mordekaiser, you had to rebalance the original skills as well. I also remember Riot at the time "joking" that "AD Mordekaiser is not a thing" in one of their balance patches under Children of the Grave.

Stop using the argument that because the champion is stronger now, we shouldn't complain. Cassiopeia players will tell you this. Veigar players will tell you this. Remember when Ahri's Q gained a MS boost? All the Ahri players I knew hated this idea, not because the idea itself was a great idea but because suddenly she will be nerfed in other departments to make this MS boost work (which if I recall: She did.)

Mordekaiser's rework is probably the complete turning point for this lousy argument and if you guys still want to use this argument, think about it like this for a moment. Imagine if Riven got reworked to be a Duo Laner like Mordekaiser. Her Q is removed and replaced with something entirely. Her Shield now shields for less, can't be used as a dash but she can shield an ally and her stun now has an AP Ratio but lower AD Ratio and Base Damage . If she kills Dragon, her next use of Wind Slash has a new effect like "Breath of the Dragon" which makes her attacking with her ultimate do AoE explosions like Morde's Dragon. Then, seeing as Riven is no longer a Solo Laner and added new particles, they remove the title 'The Exile' and instead change her title to something like "The Sword of Wind" because nothing in game really refers to Riven being an exile apart from her ultimate and we just added more to her ultimate and spells and such like. Also her being from Noxus, having a Broken Sword and her knowing Wind Magic is all too convoluted so we got to change something! However due to these changes, she's now even more popular (somehow) and is winning more and more games and is in turn far more stronger.
