Why do we still get Champion shard in Loot Crates?!

Why do we still get Champion shards in Loot Crates?! They are available in stores for IP, and they're cheap. When you disenchant them, the blue gems do absolutely NOTHING for you. You can buy champions by playing the game, IP is free and champions can be bought for IP! Give people more incentive to save up for a champion they really want by playing the game and getting FREE IP and buy more champion shards! Champion shards are only good for the specific champions you want to get to level 6 or 7, other than that they are a waste of a Lootbox. I plead you Riot, take Champion Shards out of Loot Boxes! PLEASE!
