Out of game mute feature.

Hey Riot,

I do my best to abstain from toxic behaviour, I think it's a real drag on competitive gaming in general. Because of this I play with all chat off to minimize the ability that other players have to BM me. I also have s tendency to mute players on my team at the first signs of toxicity. One thing I am unhappy about is that the in-game mute does not carry over to the end of game score screen. I spend all game avoiding toxic behaviour only to have the same individuals that I have muted given the opportunity to bash me and my fellow summonses (completely unrestricted) one last time before the game ends.

What I'm asking is the ability to maintain mutes both in game and out of game. It's hard to abstain from toxicity when toxic players are given tools like this to allow them to drag down others.

Hm, well I generally find end of game chat useful for people I've muted to see if they're -still- being rude. Has some weight to deciding if they're report-worthy and whatnot. If I remember right, endgame chat is logged now too, so it helps whoever does the report see they were still being a jerk.

They should maybe add like...a no chat (at all) option maybe though?

But yeh, just look at it like, hey, X person still being toxic, hit report button, don't finish reading chat and leave endgame summary.

Yeh pretty sure the Riot end would still see everything they said even if you muted them from .1 second after game start till end. But there's been a couple times where like..10mins into game, someone starts needlessly yelling at me. So I mute. Then game goes on, and we're not doing too bad, maybe even winning, and I think, hey, maybe X isn't such a jerk after all. Then I either unmute or game ends and post-game chat comes up and they're still sprouting random toxic things..so then I'm like..nope...nope..... *report

I feel like maybe I'd miss a couple reports if endgame chat was also muted. :p

Something like a /ignore user would be great. Can't just misclick it, but it's there if you need it.
