TRASH TALK!

I have seen this happen a few times now... more than a few actually. This has happened to myself, my friends... maybe even you.

You die, you get flamed... you say nothing.

Except... the last time it happened, my team flamed for an entire match, and then reported me for verbal abuse when I said nothing at all. Do people just resort to "verbal abuse" reports when they can't think of any other kind of reason to report? I am tired of these notifications. Sometimes I try to be a guiding light and calm people down, say it will all work out... not to give up, work together... etc. etc. but that seems to just piss them off even more.

Anyone got any tips for me how to avoid getting reported? I am not a toxic player at all. I just never surrender, and never give up. I don't play the blame game, but I get blamed a lot.

people believe reports are their as a "vegence" or "i got the last laugh" button, but don't sweat it, if your claim about being not toxic is true then most likely you have very few reports as oppose to them.

If you did nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about.

And I'm the same, I don't surrender, I don't care if people threaten me with reports if I do bad. I have 4000 games played and never been warned once. Don't let it bug ya, if it is bugging you, mute and pretend you're playing with bots.

Thank you for the positive replies. I understand what you are both saying... I will just mute people more often. Most players seem to be very demotivating and give up immediately as the game starts... not me.

It's good to optimistic, but when like 2 guys from your team decided to give up and are spamming surrender vote everytime it's available, you'll only get them to get more angry if you start talking about not giving up, because they'll consider you're treating them as lowlifes who doesn't know what to do. Sometimes it's good to surrender instead of forcing someone to continue a lost game, it's just not worth it.

The problem is, if you get reported a lot, you'll get at least chat restricted even you didn't do anything, because it's just counts how many times you got reported in a given number of your last games.

Most likely using Verbal Abuse because it's the only thing in the system that pretty much has an instant reaction. Once a few people send that in, it generates the Verbal Abuse message.
