10 ranked games today, 8 of them 4v5s
what did I do to get so many trolls today? someone please tell me...

Well, to be fair just because you're in a 4v5 it doesn't mean those "teammates" are trolls.
To be fair to you, that doesn't mean that 8 4v5's isn't bullshit. btw I think what you're getting at here would be more powerful if you posted links of those games. IMO
Plot twist, he was the AFK.
Sadly this is just another day in Solo Q. Pre-Season or not. I've had MANY AFKer's in a row as well. Almost daily. Sometimes 2 in a single match. It's a shame how much of a slap on the wrists these people get. Because obviously despite reporting or any sort of punishment is clearly isn't enough and continuously ruins experiences for you, me, and many others out there trying to climb the ladder.
Yup the leaverbuster system isn't enough and that's because punishments can't stop someone from leaving or afk.
My Rematch system would work far better than Riot's leaverbuster system.
The leaverbuster system is archaic in thinking punishment will solve player's being unhappy about leaver's/afk's ruining their games. "Assigning blame and seeking punishment as a means to encourage change won't ever solve problems." Punishing player's after they leave/afk doesn't solve the problem of having a leaver/afk on a player's team in a match for 20mins until the surrender vote is allowed. Not being able to get a new match up of players to replace that afk/leaver immediately is the problem. It's the source of player's complaining about AFKs and leavers. The leaverbuster system can't detect grieffer's that farm exp, letting the other team win and it can't stop leaver's/afks from happening intentionally or not intentionally.
Intentional leaver's are determined to grief their own team or are determined to avoid a game they think is impossible to enjoy. They will do whatever it takes to avoid the system and get out of the game as quickly as possible which is letting the other side win while farming exp or leaving with smurf accounts with IP changes.
None intentional leaver's/afk's are regular folks that don't mean to harm their fellow player's on purpose but can't avoid doing so because of a unforeseen problem or bad service. No form of encouragement can make a player not disconnect or go afk from a unforeseen cause. The system is insulting these player's.
Player's who want to play Riot's game but know they have problems getting a match working range from people testing whether they have fixed the issue from reading a support ticket, and whether they just want to play even though they might have a problem.
If the player testing whether their fix didn't work has the problem again leaverbuster add's strikes to their account every time they fail to fix that problem. How does that encourage trying to fix it when the next time they attempt to do so may not have been the right fix for the problem?
The player that play's anyway with the likely chance of having a problem has those strikes and will likely stop trying to play the game entirely.
My new system idea will solve the main problem making the leaverbuster system obsolete.
It will automatically put the nine other player's who didn't disconnect into the matchmaker when a player disconnects with in 12mins of the start of the match. No game currency will be given out, it will not count towards any special bought items from the store within those 12mins of the start of the match, and the game will be wiped from ranked/normal match history. A instant clean slate.
Surrender vote will be available after that 12mins. 3 yes and 2 no will surrender the match. No votes will not matter.
There will be a player AFK vote system available. When the player's on the team reach a majority of votes the player within question of being afk will receive a notice that if not answered within 3 mins will prove that they are afk. If proven before 12 mins of the start of the game is up they will auto rematch except for the afk. No game currency will be given out, it will not count towards any special bought items from the store within those 12mins of the start of the match, and the game will be wiped from ranked/normal match history. A instant clean slate. This notice will use a random set of images with letter's or number's that the player has to find and input it into the notice in order to be cleared of being suspected of being afk. The notice will first show up as a none intrusive to gameplay, big long icon stating the player is suspected of being AFK above the player's champions interface. One's clicked will open a window within the game allowing them to clear it to prove they're not afk. Robot's cant read random images.
play normals now, people take normals 10x more serious than preseason
Punishments aren't harsh enough for ranked AFKs and leavers. You get one forgivable leave a day. After that, leave a game and everyone gets a lose forgiven except the leaver. They lose a rank, no caps. Silver 5 and you rage quit? Welcome to bronze. Leave 2 games, now your down two ranks and are banned from ranked play for 24 hours. Leave three games you're down three ranks and banned from rank for 2 days. Leave 4 games your down 4 ranks and banned from rank for a week. Leave 5 games, your rank is set to Bronze 5 0 LP and your banned from rank for a month. After that, whole game bans.
No one would want to leave a game if it's going to cost them a rank, and people who think ranked is no different than normals would soon find out that starting a game you know you're going to have to leave is going to have some painful repercussions for them. Also, people looking to purposefully tank their rank will see that it would simply not be worth it.
Same on EUNE. And this is not a day - this started with preseason.
I'm just curious, were all of them on your side or some of them on the enemy side?
Christmas break?
I forget, when does that start now?
I'm curious as to what you did to antagonize them...
