Is it just me?? I can't be the only one who sees this!!

Hey there guys. I'm a top main, trying desperately to struggle my way out of bronze 1, and seriously, I've just gotta vent for a minute. Let me preface this by saying that I'm fully aware my gameplay is not perfect. My match history is not flawless, and I take responsibility for my own mistakes in game. That said, I feel like the ranked system in League needs a serious overhaul! I can not express how maddeningly nonsensical it all is. I very frequently, especially recently, find myself doing great in my own position. Laning phase I do well, sometimes outright win, sometimes go even. And when the team fighting phase starts I feel like my positioning is pretty good, and I capitalize on openings as best as I can. What keeps messing me it seems are a lot of the teams that I end up playing with! Either bottom lane decides to run headlong into that caitlin/sona combo, mid doesn't ward river and then yells in all chat at the enemy jungler for ganking them, or jungle pitches a tent where he's not needed. And a lot of times these mistakes, repeated again and again over the course of a game, results in a loss for the team. Then my personal rank suffers not because I played badly or didn't contribute, but because someone else didn't and I can't see the fairness in that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to deal with this as a player? Do I need to play a hard carry position? Is there some strategy I'm missing? Because I practice and practice and I see myself getting better, but keep getting dragged down. Any specific advice would be great. And anybody with thoughts in agreement or rational disagreement I'd love to hear. I love League, I really do, but this is making the game difficult to continue to enjoy.
