On the Rift Nobody Cares What's in Your Pants

I just saw a board about being a female newbie or whatever and it bothered me. Especially since the experiment just ended up being about shops? I would just like to bring up one of my favorite parts of the League of Legends community. On the Rift nobody cares if you are a male or a female, everyone just tries to get along, discuss strategies, and fall in love with each other's skins. My favorite games are the ones where everyone "<3's" or "bby's" each other because we are all having a good time. I, as a female, has had just as many people flirt with me in game as my fiance who is male. On the Rift nobody cares because we are all out for a fun game. The Rift is essentially filled with anonymous summoners. Nobody knows each other's gender and nobody cares. I get called male because as a society that's what our brains are hardwired to do; if one does not know another's gender everyone automatically becomes male. But it's alright. If you want to make a big deal about your gender that's fine, but in my experience there is no difference for female players than male players. Please leave this fake feminism off of the Rift please and thank you.

Sorry about this rant, but this fake feminism stuff our culture is immersed in right now really grinds my gears. And I mean really. However, have a nice day and just remember, we are all friends and family on the Rift.

-Sincerely, RaiPhantom

We didn't ask. We don't really care either, bringing it up means you're looking for some kind of attention, we are all gamers, Gender doesn't really matter as long as we game. You can't call yourself a true gamer if you think about getting into someones pants through a game without at least getting to know them and having been playing with them for a long time. Online relationships are a thing now and have been for a little while. Again, we are all gamers.. your gender doesn't interest me in the least, when you game, you are a Barbie/Ken doll with no parts in the pants, all that should matter is whats on your character at first.

Did you actually read that post? That study had 8 females participating, and that's the extent of how much the whole "female" thing mattered. Because it was set up as a legitimate study things like gender had to be mentioned, whether they had an actual impact on it or not.

Now, to give you the short version of that post 8 people who had no knowledge of League were brought together to play league. They played a number of games and were mostly left to their own devices to learn how to play.

What the 8 people came up with afterward was that the in game tutorial was not enough, and that a tutorial specifically aimed at the in game shop and the items within would be a fine addition to the game.

The study could have easily been posted without mention of gender. Your own post here, however, heavily relies upon gender to make sense. I do understand what you are saying, but in regards to the study it is misplaced.
