What Makes League Toxic?
League is toxic because there are those who exist that lack proper respect for other people / players, who seek only to win and don't give a shit about anything else. I understand it is a competitive game, but when normals become plagued with trolls, troublemakers, and other problem children shouldn't we take a look at how they're allowed to exist? It's about time the tribunal was taken off the drawing board and put into effect, it's been over a year since the "Upgrading The Tribunal" announcement was first made and still no word as to how that project's running. When it does return, personally, I hope they're stricter with punishment, or at least have some resolution as to remove repeat offenders, i'm not suggesting they throw out perma-bans like a Ziggs on Urf mode, however, a solid kick in the groin, or whatever it is the internet can provide, would be appreciated. Now i really hate to sound this serious / bitchy, in reality I normally don't give two shits when dealing with a troll, but today I met a guy who went out his way to 'ruin' mine. So it was an unranked match of Summoners Rift, I was trying out Lee Sin for my second time ever, and as you can imagine I made a few mistakes, none the less my team was very forgiving about it as we managed to take an early lead and really put pressure on them and our top lane ekko started 1v3/4/5-ing the enemy, and doing damn good at it too (that's another topic however) but everything changed when the [Mid-Game] attacked, I was no longer able to put pressure on the enemy and our tank alistar dc'd, the enemy started picking up ground and for 20 minutes both teams were making their way up and down the mid lane like a pendulum while Ahri, the one in the screenshots, made comments after every event took place, i blocked her soon enough so I don't have knowledge as to what she said, other than that our Ezreal and her were heated about something. Long story short we got 'aced' (although you can't exactly be aced with a dc) due to a bad engage, Ezreal was the first to respawn and manged to pick up a quadra as the enemy decided to dive our nexus turrents without minions, volibear was the only one to survive and as we pushed down mid hard we knocked off two inhibitors and while taking their nexus turrents we lost, to a back door volibear. All in all we were pretty distraught but we said our gg's. But the end game chat was filled with nothing but "MVP" "VOLI(BEAR)" and "GEE GEE" spammed constantly from Ahri, I didn't mind that much because backdooring is what i would've done, so I congratulated the bear and commended my team for the effort they put in and while revising my rune page i got a friend request, recognizing the name i immediately accepted, and was then spammed with same phrases mentioned above. In all honesty, I don't mind the "insults" they had no depth behind them, but it's the principle of him thinking he can do that without punishment is just beyond me, it's so.. rude? Furthermore, him removing me from his friend's list right after is nothing more than an act of cowardice, and is also the reason why i couldn't report him.. because league think's you should only report someone in the end game screen. Oh, he was also a Diamond level player, kinda shocking to realize what most people strive to be, as far as elo is concerned, is him. Congratulations on getting through wall of text!
One more thing, I had an idea for when (if ever) the tribunal returns, is that players of whom deserved their reports, should be placed in a separate queue with it's own elo system for getting out, just an idea tho.
