Why such a massive difference between Rank and Normals...

Everyone says to practice in normals then play ranked. I do this all the time. I literally can stomp in a normal game. My ADC dropped out no probs I'll solo carry a lane by myself. No issue. Go play ranked, get smashed. Every time. I end up constantly mismatched it seems. No matter how well I play all my low elo games are with total idiots who can't figure out how to farm, ward or initiate a fight. This will never end. When losses cost me 2-12 LP more than a win there is no way out than to have higher than a 75% win ratio and with the crapshoot of teammates in Bronze there is almost no way to do this. I can't carry a whole team. I get a pick as blitz or thresh and my team leaves me hanging. . . it just doesn't seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

It's because people actually try in ranked when they're not trolling or feeding.

yeah and it doesn't stop in silver either I had trolls in my promos and just the promos 4 promos in a row really frustrating

People don't like to admit it but in order to climb you need at least 2-3 other good players on your team. Doesn't change that you should hopefully be one of those good players but the chances you're carrying most games when you have 2+ bad bad players on your team is very low, particularly if one of those bad players is your adc.

I have to say that I feel like ranked randomly puts me with people. I'm in Bronze 5 and it will put me with a Silver 2, 2 Bronzes, and maybe a Gold 5. How does this happen? This is one of the reasons I decided to not play ranked for this season. Haven't played it in months.

Try getting to b4 win two games then lose two games on the third game you lose and riot's "Protection" Against the demotation doesn't protect me from demoting.

People often tell me that if you want to rank up, you've got to play carry roles. It really sucks if you play as a jungler or support and your carries can't take the lead that you give them and snowball it, but if you yourself are the carry then you can much more easily take matters into your own hands. Once you're in the higher Golds then you can confidently play a support and know that you'll win more than 50% of the time if you do well.

Well let's get some perspective on your experience. According to LoLKing, you have exactly 50 normal wins.

5-0. And based on your recent matches, a good bit of those are coming from Team Builder.

So what does that have to do with your experience in the different queues? Well there's the obvious lack thereof, but let's dig a bit deeper into what kinds of thought processes people generally have when they go into these queues:

Team Builder: "I really want to learn this specific champ in this specific role (possibly one that they're very much not made for and would be rejected by other queues like Support Diana ). I've already played him a couple times in Co-op vs AI or taken 5 minutes to look at a guide on LoLKing or Mobafire, and I don't REALLY care whether I win or not because I'm just here for the experience so that I can actually try when I go to Draft Mode."

Blind Pick: "I'm with some buds and we're drunk and just not giving a fuck so we decided we want to try some strat that's cheesier than Lambeau Field but it won't work if the enemy sees our picks before the game starts."

Draft Mode: For some people "Ok I'm gonna really try hard and get better with this champ so that I can add them to my Ranked lineup." For others "Fuck it. It's not ranked so Trundle TIME TO TROLL!"

Ranked: For some people "Ok I'm gonna really try hard and get better with this champ so that I can climb to the next Tier." For others "Fuck it. It's Ranked and everyone else is expecting me to try hard so Trundle TIME TO TROLL!"
