The reason why it is different for everyone is because of your invisible MMR. You might of done poorly last season and been bronze5. If you continue to lose games when you hit 0 your MMR keeps dropping even though you do not see it. So when you do placement matches you might be at negative therefor the 5 games you won might end up getting counted as only 1 win or 0 depending on how low your MMR is. We cannot really see it so will never know for sure but this has been pretty much proven. This is why the first account I ever had is useless to me. I started playing ranked immediately and was bronze5 forever losing games constantly during season 1 my MMR is so low on it that i could probably never get out of bronze.

KDA doesn't matter in ranking. Rankings is affected by the average mmr of your team and the average mmr of their team. Rankings is also affected by last season's place (the place where you finished).

That's why your division is different from your friends. You probably played different opponents and/or had a different ranking last season. Sometimes, it does happen that bad placements get you where you "don't deserve to be". If that's the case, you'll have no trouble climbing back up. Good luck!

It's all about your hidden mmr. I went 6/10 and was placed G4 from p5 while my other plat friends were placed p 2-3

The reason your placements were different is because your previous rank heavily influences where you get placed.

Nothing like KDA effects your rank, only winning.
