Getting Discouraged By The Toxicity

The last couple of days, it seems that every game I've played has had some sort of toxic player. It makes it hard to queue up when you know the next game will be more of the same. I've been trying to stay positive and not get mad, but it gets really tough when you're on provisionals and you keep running into those "Im going mid or I troll" people. Anyone else had an extra long streak of bad luck with toxic players? What'd you do to keep from lashing back or tilting? I feel like I'm playing a lot worse than I usually do because I'm stressing these angry people.

It's annoying. Usually I just take a break for a little while and go back in.

That and/or play a bunch of ARAM.

P.S. I know I will rage, but I won't say anything, i'll rage just by muting everyone.

The best advice I can give is to keep playing, because eventually you won't have to deal with those people any longer, or at least not as much, and report them afterwards. I believe defying pick order forcibly is actually a punishable offense as you've refused to communicate and cooperate with your team at that point and are assisting the enemy team.

Until then, I understand that it sucks hard, but just try and let it go, people are going to be like that, and it's very unlikely that you'll change their perspective by engaging them, not to mention that typically people like that are attempting to gain attention from you, so if that's the kind of person you're dealing with, you're better off not engaging them at all.

The best thing you can do is to play your best, try and keep a positive outlook, and just look forward to a new game if the current one goes really poorly. Know in advance those "mid or feed/troll" people, typically feed or troll regardless, so don't give in to them if they're threatening to troll if you take the role they want. Most decently skilled players will inform you of their preference, not make a demand of a specific role.

ARAMs work great for me to calm down.

I also found a great teamspeak community. They have been very patient with my low level and occasional bad mistakes which has allowed me to stay calm.

But I have on occasion stopped playing for the day because I ran into a bit too much toxicity from someone.
