New punishment for toxic players

Instead of banning them or giving them a chat restriction I suggest that they receive a Banner of shame in champ select and in loading screen that way people know that they have been toxic. Players with the banner of shame will start the game automatically muted for everyone and it is the other peoples choice to un-mute them and if they do they can't report them for being toxic as they have been warned. That is why I believe that you should ban players for grieving or assisting the enemy team and just chat restrict and mute the ones who play the game well but are just toxic.

I don't get why Riot doesn't mute players for weeks or months for being toxic instead of banning them..

People who should be getting banned should be for like more drastic measures like feeding purposely or getting real personal with people or when verbal abuse is actually verbal abuse and not some lame stuff like "hey you suck". I see those as small taunts rather then verbal abuse.

Honestly, if Riot did automatically mute toxic players, there would be a lot less frustration in games. People refuse to mute themselves, but I doubt they'd unmute a toxic player.

I have a better idea. Put the toxic player in games with people that don't troll. You will notice they aren't toxic anymore :)

the only thing keeping me from wanting this, is that people will use that "banner of shame" as an excuse to be dicks. They'll bully, and "WOW WE DON'T WANT YOU ON THE TEAM. YOU'RE A FUCKING RAGER. GET OUT LOSER. " and all that's going to do is make him angrier at the game and the community

I agree 100% with it but it will never happen because it's the same as calling someone out publicly and the pussified world we live in doesn't have thick skin.
