Help making a YouTube channel?

Hello fellow summoners. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on making a YouTube channel? I want to promote it without being like. "HEY WATCH MY VIDEOS!!" How do I get subscribers and exposure I guess? I want to do League and Overwatch. Best time to start is now?
