Question about Low Priority Queue

To make a long story short, I'm going in a Low Priority queue for my next five games because I have shitty internet.

Now, I'd like to point out I AM NOT COMPLAINING. I know that, even if the issue is outside of my hands, it's still bad for the rest of my team for me and my DCing ass to leave, and I plan at yelling at my service provider later today or tomorrow (There is no way we're paying for an internet that can be PREDICTED to go out at 9PM nearly every day).

Anyway, my question is: Does low priority queue only get used up in PvP games, or do bot games count towards it? I would assume not, but I just want to be sure.

Any game mode you have to join a queue for will count toward your number of low priority queue games, as far as I know. You can check easily by just hopping into a queue and seeing the pop-up before it actually puts you in the queue with everyone else!

Thanks for answering, though, I appreciate it! At least it means that I can use bot games to get it over with quickly. I should probably try to avoid PvP games for a bit until I get the chance to yell at my ISP. At least in bot games, one of the bots will 'DC' with you, and your teammates can win a 3v5 against beginner bots anyway.

And yeah, the internet thing is a bit frustrating, to put it mildly, especially when it happens before a teamfight, or I'm just nervous about that particular game in general.

It's probably because we live in a rural area with an electric fence nearby, and the provider itself (AT&T) seems to have a reputation for being unreliable. But being able to predict that it'll go down at about 9PM almost every day (Every other day, maybe?) is kind of ridiculous. I've tried to outright avoid playing around 8-9 entirely, but even then more sporadic DCs pop up.

I kind of dread dealing with customer service, but if nothing else I hope I at least get an explanation for why it goes out at 9PM specifically.

Botgames can be used to run out your low priority queue. I did, I had pretty bad internet, and power failures etc. I got a 2nd round of low priority (5m x 5 games, then it's 10m x 5 games, then I think 20m but I haven't experienced that myself).

Because the time is exact, you can go do other stuff (I watched a TV series on the other monitor). Note: if you miss the "click yes" part, you have to queue again (as well as if you click no).

Queuing up with friends is horrible. Someone can't type - usually you (I think this is not intended behaviour though).

This type of restriction AFAIK does not exclude you from end of season rewards etc. unless it's absolutely habitual and you received a ban for it.

Another thing to note is that you will get further low priority queue if you AFK in the botgames too.

i afk'd for 10 minutes of one game because crap internet and i was given 5 games of 20 min wait

I don't think it works. I just received the same ban (5x20min) because I have garbage internet and could not reconnect after a disconnect. I played 4 normal draft games and to get rid of the 5th I tried to play a bot game. It counted down from 20 etc. and I finished the game, only to get the low priority counter again when I tried to enter a ranked game... Extremely frustrated at this because it was not my fault, and despite completing the queue 5 times, I still have to wait once more. Will update if low priority goes away after this normal game or not... otherwise my account may be bugged.
