Add a "mute ping button" ingame
Which hide pings of the muted player.

I had an Elise spam pings for an entire 45 minute game. I NEED THIS
Make them silent, but still show on map. If not silent, much quoeter, so they are still noticable

But how else am i suppose to communicate with my team that im coming to gank their lane D: Apparently nobody have map awareness x.x
Maybe Riot should lower the amount of pings you can have, and make the "cd" of the pings longer, so that you don't get 200 pings in 2 minutes..

Did you know You can already mute them? Turn off their sound in options Individuals no but most people who want this are also the ones who mute everyone at the start of the game anyway.

I get that having a mute button is necessary, as there are some real jackasses out there that just spam toxic bullshit, but the issue with even the standard mute function is that it is highly abusable. People use the mute function as a weapon (ie: "one more word and I'll mute you", or "stfu muted"). Both of these statements inevitably cause whatever toxicity that was present to be magnified. Not to mention, willingly cutting off communications with teammates substantially reduces your chances of victory (as comms are a key component of the game). Both of these issues will be just as bad with ping muting, if not worse. Imagine trying to coordinate a fight with person that has both muted AND ping muted you. It's just not possible. You are virtually guaranteed to lose if you cut someone off this thoroughly. I get that ping spam gets annoying, but honestly dealing with dickwads is just part of life. If it's really bad, report them at the end of the game and/or submit a support ticket explaining the situation. They'll eventually get what's coming to them.
6-7 years of one of the most popular games in the world, potentially revolutionising some aspects of gameplay to create video game history, doesnt even have specific player ping mutes....

Yea, but Riot doesn't want to get rid of it because you should still be able to communicate with your team. However, the fact that there are some very annoying people who never stop pinging.
I personally can't stand the jungler who danger pings the camp you are leashing for him, as if I don't know that the camp is for him
i am badeed a mute ping would be really helpful. If someone is spamming pings. Instead of muting all pings would mute that guy only
I had someone spam danger pings at me non stop for 20 minutes (4 every 10 seconds or so), to the point I had no choice but to mute all pings in-game, although that only removed the sound. A mute ping option would be GREAT.
