Transition from Support Main

I currently main support and have since I started back in February. I ended S6 Bronze 3 peaking in Bronze 2 coming out of initial promos. Primary champs I play are: Thresh ,Bard , and TahmKench (rarely). I used to play a lot of support Poppy ,Nautilus , and TahmKench while still learning the game (playing norms). I've realized that I would like to play a more carry based role (supps can carry but not by themselves). I've been maining jng secondary supp so far in S7 which has gone alright but I have needed to play mechanically simple champs to do well (Volibear and basically nothing else). what I'm wondering is if anyone (based off of my past heavily played champs) could recommend a carry role and champ. My overall favorite champ is Gangplank but my friend mains top so I would have to play him mid which to me seems like something I would end up feeding a lot if I try it. I don't know, just looking for a change and not sure where to head so any opinions would be appreciated. Also I now realize how randomly assorted and unordered this post is but I just have no idea how to ask this and am just typing what I'm thinking so apologies for that.

You're just not playing the correct "carry" supports. Which thresh and bard can be mad play makers, they take a rather large knowledge about the game to make that happen. You should look into playing some ap supports like: Brand Velkoz Karma Lux Zyra Morgana Annie

They all have the potential to become power houses themselves and carry the game. Brand, Annie, Zyra and Morgana you could think about running summoner 14 summoner 4.

But to suggest an answer to your question, Since you play rather tanky champs you could look into playing top lane.Darius Chogath Garen Irelia Nautilus Poppy Shen Malphite Maokai Sion Volibear Renekton Jax Are usually pretty good at carrying if you know your champion well enough.

Mid you're looking at Ahri Anivia Ekko Fizz Katarina Lux Syndra Talon Orianna KarmaBrand Annie Are good at solo carry, and even better with team work.

Start out trying them in a Custom/Bot game a few times until you feel like you have knowledge of them and you don't feel mechanically awkward playing them. Hop over into norms until you feel as though you're pretty good at the champ and eventually make your way into ranked and hopefully carry your way out of bronze.

I wish you luck, the road you're about to take will be hard. You will learn alot along the way, and get very salty as well. But do not fret, do not falter, keep pushing until you get to where you want to be.

Feel free to add me in game and we could possibly play some games together and I could help you learn the champs you want to play.
