Why are level 20+ so rude and inconsiderate?

I was helping a friend earlier learn some new roles and etc. as she is a lower level, so i got matched with level 24-27 people. as i progress through the game, I gave tips to the enemy jungler because it seemed as though they were struggling. (they didn't clear their blue for what seemed like ages, so I said in all chat to clear jungle when they can so buffs can be available). I was flamed and insulted and told I " was disrespectful". The game continued with the jungler insulting my team and I with every choice we made, our team flaming each other for the smallest of reasons. This is the most ridiculous game I have ever played. My question is: does this happen for anyone else?

TL;DR: level 20's flame too hard and think they are alpha-males, Have you had a similar experience?

Level 20-27 is like the teenage years for Summoners.

They know everything. They're good at everything. They are the pro. You are the scrub that knows NOTHING OMFG KILL YOURSELF.

Now i'm not saying they are right in being rude, but giving people advice ( however sound, good and reasonable advice it is!) when they didn't ask for it may come out as patronising, and really rub people the wrong way, especially when you are playing on the other team.
