S Rank Tokens (Mastery 6&7)

What does one really have to do to get an S rank in a match? I'm not quite understanding it. I literally went with Miss Fortune, 14/0 one match, and got on A, and I had plenty of CS along with quadra kills. Also, I got an S rank last night with Jinx, and I didn't get a token? What game modes count and don't count? Because I've had people tell me that weekend modes don't count, but some people say they do count. I mean, I've earned a token from the last time URF mode was around, so why can't the others reward as well? Just, break it down for me. I just need to understand this better.

Thank you so very much.

Look to get and S you must get tons of kills and Cs in a short amount of time. Or you could do it the easy way and take miss fortune to a lane other than bot in which case requirements for S are less demanding.

I think grade scores are generated by the average kda, cs, tower kills, etc. for the specific champion. I've gone 17/1 on vayne and get an a+. As for the token question, in the new patch they've recently added TT and ARAM mastery tokens, so before that you couldn't gain anything from them. As for rotating game modes, I've gotten a token from URF, but I believe now tokens are normal SR specific. Not crystal clear on this one with this patch.

11/3/5 and 250 cs was an S+ on Tahm Kench top. 8/1/3 and 200 cs was an S on Poppy.

It changes depending on the champion. Generally it's harder to get on ADCs and Assassins because of how often people get fed on them (at least 25% of the time) so you'd need a really good game on them.

Also they only allow tokens on SR right now and they won't allow it until level 8+ comes out (I think).

This is a helpful post that explains why/how you get 'S' scores.

tbh the system feels pretty random in prioritizing grades, any game I feel I did really well will generally get between A- and S-, maybe a B if i happened to get low kill participation/fed a lot; bad gameplay just gives me a C or D

riot said they'd refrain from ever giving out what statistics the system uses to prevent people from "cheating the system" but if the system was actually any good then "cheating the system" would just mean doing good things that improve your games anyway

A top lane teemo in a game I was in got 16/20/18 and it gave him an S. Don't remember if S+ - or regular S. Several other people got S's and had similar scores but can't remember which ones do remember him. A later game had a much better set of scores for people cause it was one sided but not sure anyone got an S. Remember commenting with a guy I was playing with in both games that it was handing them out like candy in the one where everyone died teens and twenties times; and then wouldn't give any but maybe 1 when everyone had high kills assists low deaths.
