League MMR is a joke

Ok so I spent the entirety of the preseason mainly playing a lot of ranked so I could raise my mmr. I got myself to S5 at the end of the pre season. Right now I am 5/2 in placements and I checked my mmr because I realized I was playing with people in bronze 5 and bronze 5 only. When I checked I saw a whopping 955 mmr... Can rito manage to explain to me, how in the world any of this makes sense? And if you look at my match history you can see that i do considerably well. I just find it funny how much of a joke league's mmr system is. item 3070

That's not your MMR. That is op.gg's estimation of your MMR, and that's a big difference.

Of particular importance is this: The closer to the beginning of the season you are, the less information op.gg has to make an accurate estimate of your MMR.

nope. the worst thing you can possibly do, if you are still refusing to leave the matrix and accept the sad reality of your sham ranked system, is to play ranked during the pre-season.
