New League Map promoting Duo Queue. (2v2v2v2v2)

So I was thinking one day that the League of Legends game has the diversity to expand into a 2 players per team type of map quite easily. I mean, there is already a "duo queue" option available, yet the problem is: with Summoner's Rift, you (too often it seems), get lousy teammates when playing with anything less than a full 5v5 team.

Anyway, I sketched out this map in illustrator to make it more legible than my pencil drawn version. Take a look and tell me what you think: (You have to click the LeagueDuo-QueueMap.jpg files to see it.

I feel this map would appeal to professional gamers, or the strong league of legends community for a couple of reasons:

  1. It encourages Duo Queue (And could even have duo queue as a requirement, meaning you can't solo queue). This way people would get used to working in teams, and with another player, rather than the "Solo who is so boss that he gets his whole team killed" mentality.

  2. It encourages map awareness. Summoner's Rift is kind of big, almost big to the point that you lose map awareness sometimes. In this map, due to the quick access to other lanes through the jungle entrances, it makes it very possible to be attacked at any moment, even from both sides. This means that you have to constantly be alert, and watching map awareness.

  3. It encourages better internet. A big issue in League of Legends right now is people who disconnect and those who leave game. As duo queue as a requirement for this map, it would require people to get to know friends, and build leagues, and thus those with "like internet" would play together.

  4. It encourages good teamwork. In summoner's rift and other maps, it can be really easy to blame on teammate for being the cause of team failures (which happens). However, this map encourages people to only queue with friends that they know or have met and who are reliable. It also encourages people to play with those of equal skill level, and thus would make it easier for Riot to match games.

To be honest, I don't think this mode would work and I think it's pretty dumb. btw, what happen to inhibitor? (you shouldn't get mad about my opinion because it shouldn't mean a thing to you) Peace!

I feel like this would be to much heavily relied on your only teammate. is the objective getting a certain amount of kills or still destroying multiple inhibitors? I feel like this would be a bit more balanced if this was solely having the objective only kills because of potential DC and people leaving games. Other than that, I like that art and the idea is a bit a slim in terms of consideration. Other than that keep up the good work!

...So what happens when 2-3 of the duo queues decide to team up and wipe everyone else out?

I dont think this gamemode would work because it would be all to easy for teams to be obliterated by a combined force of the other teams. As soon as one team shows weakness, it will be like a shark feeding frenzy.

Didn't seem to work very well for Mythic's Wrath of Heroes, which had a similar concept (3 larger teams rather than 5, but with a similar FFA "open field" kind of map).
