Bots in Aram

Aight,

I know this isn't the first topic on the matter. Me myself and alot of other players are getting sick and tired of all the bots in aram ruining games for everyone. but, I didn't open this topic just to rant. What I'd like to know is what actions is Riot taking to prevent bots from joining games? I just started playing again but what I found was topics from back in 2014 where people were complaining about the same issue.

Is this really such a hard thing to do? Nowadays you have all of these little 'I am not a robot' functions on websites when you want to register. Or the well known 'Choose al the pictures with trees' or something like that.

Couldn't this easily be the key to solving this problem? Some kind of a check to make sure you're not a robot. I think I can speak for everyone by saying we wouldn't mind an extra few mouse clicks to be certain of a fair game.

Also, did Riot ever speak out about this problem?

Kind Regards,

Wouter

Well you see, in the world of technology, it advances everyday. So do bot programs, so do script programs, so do hacks in general. It is a constant battle back and forth. They will fix the bots for a good amount of time, then all the people creating the bot programs will come up with another one that goes under the radar for a while, it'll get fixed, then the cycle repeats itself.

I don't know specifically what they do to battle the bots, but i can tell you, they are always battling. I played a lot of F2P games, and everyone of them 1 month there would be hackers, the next month after a good patch, they were gone. The next month after that, they figured out how to fly under the scan thing again, then boom, hackers explode for another month. League is noooooo different.

It's always back and forth. There will always be people who want to cheat, there will always be farming bots, and there will always be people defending against them. There will always be a new way to bi-pass a security system, and there will always be a new way to protect a security system. That's the name of the technology game my man.

However what i can tell you, is that they have been improving their bot detection based off of matches. Id'e say 1 out of 5 3v3 matches, there would be a bot on one of the teams if not both. Now, id'e say it's 1 in 10 if that, in my experience anyway. They have improved on how long it takes to decide if an account is a farming bot or not.

Sadly the click a box thing would not work, since most bots are "farming" bots, where someone wants a program to get all the IP for them, all they would have to do is manually click the box themselves, then they could easily walk away while their program plays the match for them. Behind every bot, is a person who downloaded that program.
