Purple team needs to see!

In the bot lane (maybe mid) blue champs can easily be hidden under the HUD, which allows a somewhat advantage to the blue champs in bot lane. In one match, I was playing against Thresh and his Q ability caused half of the deaths in that game. I think Riot should put an option (for blue or purple team) to flip their HUD upside down so the big Ability screen and mini map won't block any champs from easily getting ganked from the enemy team even if they're a tank.

I have tried to use the unlocked mode but I can't seem to even get used to it. Constantly moving the screen, to me, is frustrating and tedious. When I try to land skillshots in unlocked mode, I will usually move the camera to my enemy, however, the screen is not big enough to let me see myself, so if anyone comes to gank from behind, I won't even notice it and will have a hard time to react quick enough before I die. The vision problem for the purple team is even prominent for champions that heavily rely on skill shots like Lux, it's harder to aim as you are not able to see the enemy champion easily.

People have been suggesting 90 degree turns to the map but I feel that I would be most comfortable with a 180 degree turn so that it would be exactly like the blue team. The only thing different would be the river and the dragon and baron positions.

Maybe Riot does not want to change the purple team because it is going to be harder to explain where some objectives are as they will differ with the blue team which might occur even if a 90 degree turn or 180 degree turn would be implemented.

All this is just my point of view and speculation so I may not be accurate and this might differ from your user experience and perspective and in that case, I would gladly hear about them.

Agreed 100%, There is the only option to unlock screen, in which I hate doing bc I seem to drag the screen way to far over and stuff resulting in many deaths.

I HAVE THE SOLUTION. Why not give the option to move the hud? Many game do that and insteaof having to switch the camera and confusing players with map locations, why not just have the hud be able to switch to the top of the screen? you can still see it but it wouldn't hide people in the hud. Genius.

With the way the game was first programed, this is all but impossible with the way they designed how skills are aimed and the distance they travel. RIOT would have to completely redesign the game to do this. I do agree it should be possible, but it will never happen until either a sequel or a RE-release of the game... like League 2.0 kinda deal.

The simplest solution to this problem would be to change the purple team to the blue team's viewpoint as well. That way everybody would "FEEL" like they're fighting the "Purple team".

Bottom lane is a headache when you're on the Purple Team, however you do it, just fix it pls. Nidalee

I don't think I find any issues with sight. I do have to agree, that if you want to play "better" you should play with your camera unlocked. For example, do you really need to see an area behind you the size of half your screen? That's what the mini-map is for! You only need to see where the enemies are or could be!

My main gripe about being on the purple side, is that I've experienced (and had validated by numerous other players) that using skillshots from above instead of below seems to have a drastically lower success rate. I'm not sure why; it's probably just something mental, but there is in fact a disadvantage when you're on the purple side, which kills the balance of the game a bit. Granted, this isn't nearly as awful on TTT or HA, but on SR it's just plain bad. Champions like Nidalee; Blitzcrank; Jinx and more seem to have a rather large advantage when on the blue-side.

Can we get some input from maybe some of the design guys from RIOT? I know the limitations of the client itself, and I know that it's quite possible to have both players looking at the map from the blue-team's perspective since the map is (for the most part) entirely 3D models being viewed from a semi-isometric camera angle. Just moving the camera (or just changing the draw methods to always draw you on the "blue side") would solve the issue just fine.

Hmm.. Try playing unlocked.
