Placement Games
I just hit 30 and want to know IF i should do my placements NOW or WAIT for the new season. If i should would anyone mind helping me to get G5?

Just do them now so you can get season rewards of whatever you get placed in.
Wait at least a year. Or two.
Ranked is for serious play, you need a full understanding of the game and a lot of experience, unless you want to drop like a rock to bronze V and stay there permanently. It is also a very toxic and over-serious experience, full of lots of raging children.
