What MMR would I need to be deranked?

I am just curious because on na.op.gg my MMR is 100 higher than my league (though I am sure it is an approximation) but I lose more games than I am winning. I am currently Silver 5 and do not want to get deranked to Bronze but the players I play with keep throwing the games (3 afks in a row, intential feeding WW, etc).

I really just want to know if it is safe to keep playing ranked or am I at risk of being deranked since I now have 0 lp.

I'm not sure the exact calculations, honestly. I don't think any of us are, especially because na.op.gg has, at best, a rough estimate of your MMR.

That said, you're probably at-risk or close to at-risk for dropping to Bronze V

A few things though: firstly, if you don't keep playing ranked, you'll eventually fall down to Bronze I due to inactivity. So keep that in mind.

Secondly, rank often fluctuates. If you're a Silver V player (or even Silver IV or III), you may find yourself bouncing between Bronze II - Silver IV as you accumulate enough games for the system to be able to accurately place you. Especially if you keep playing champions that you can't seem to win reliably with: you've played a TON of Swain, but only have a 21% win rate out of 14 games in Season 4.

Ultimately, AFKs and potentially feeding Warwick aside (saw that game...I'm not convinced he was feeding intentionally. Looks more like he and Kat just got legitimately wrecked), your win-rate isn't that hot. I'd recommend that, if you want to stay in Silver or move up in Silver, you double-down on the champions you're strong with (looks like your Cass and your Fiora are pretty solid), and pick a handful of other champs to improve on in normal games. I wasn't seeing a lot of real strength in your ranked games in general.

Something to consider, anyway.

  1. Ranked will be resetting when Season 5 starts. People are guessing that will be in a few weeks.

  2. You can usually loose a few games (2, maybe 3) at 0 lp and not fall out. At least, that was my wife and I's experience in Bronze 1.

  3. You've already gotten any ranked rewards you will get for Season 4, so you might as well keep playing and see if you can get to Silver 4.
