Honor Ribbons

It's not very important to me but my friend is trying to get the teamwork ribbon he currently has 255 teamwork honors and he asked me on how to get it and I told him "I'm not sure I think they stopped giving them out" I told him I've never had a ribbon and I have 621 teamwork honors. I've seen posts saying that people got ribbons when they reached between 60-100 honors, but haven't seen anywhere that ribbons have stopped being distributed to players. (Edit: I didn't know what category to put this topic in so I put it in Miscellaneous)

It requires constant honors gotten from random people. The more you get from the same person, the less effective the honors are.

If you are queued with them it is also less effective.

I cant remember how many honors i have, but like a year or two ago I had an honorable opponent ribbon. Im not 100% sure why it was taken away but it was though.

The new honor system coming out however will be much nicer and more straight forward than the current one hopefully so im quite interested to see how it goes.

I got my honor ribbon before I even hit level 10. I am level 22 now and have had my honor ribbon well over a year now. And I don't even play that much.

So... I'm pretty sure the new honor system is launching in two days. So those ribbons won't even exist anymore. :/

Tell your friend sorry! One of the reasons they are getting rid of the old system is this exact problem, though. It is VERY hard to keep a ribbon.

Yeah you had to maintain a certain percentage. Eg one ribbon out of 3 games or something (not actual numbers) I had a teamwork ribbon for a few months when the system came out and people were honoring others because it was new but after a while people just stopped honoring at all.
