I put a ward skin shard into rental mode and I have no clue how to make it permanent, It isn't in any menus and I know it'll dissapear after the 7 day period. If there isn't any way to redeem it afterwards, it really shouldn't be called a rental.
ShinigamiKazuki1 votesHappened to me with Spirit Guard Udyr. Didn't tell me it wouldn't come back if I clicked rental. Clicked it and it went directly into my inventory until the 7 days and it was perma gone :(

Fundamentally there isn't one. Not all leases have ownership options.
It's not clear that if you use the shard to "rent" it for a week it'll be unusable to convert to essence or a permanent skin. It might be a good assumption to make if its a shard you'd rather use for something else, but I've read up on crafting twice now and still wasn't sure what happens.

I had 0 confusion when i read up on it. They made it clear you had 4 options: burn for dust, unlock for rental, make permanent and use in combiner.
I am not sure when the other options eat the shard you would assume that a rental would not. There is reasonable thought and wishful thinking. Anyone saying that they were not sure what would happen is using the wishful thinking. People are always hoping for more.

Billy VoHagen1 votesI think what he means is that normally, when you rent something, it's not permanetely gone. Often, you have q change to buy it after you rent it.
