I'm sure there's a better way...

Isn't there a way to make ranked play feel less unrewarding? I mean, it doesn't matter what you do your LP up and downs depend largely on other people...if you don't duo, have a smurfing ally or carry the game on your own (which shouldn't be the way) you will likely lose to people who does. Isn't there a way to reward consistent player who can perform at a higher level? I know we've all been there...
