Why am I losing so much LP and gaining very litte?

So I went on a bit of a losing streak and now something weird is going on. When I win a game I get between 5-8 LP, and when I lose I lose between 20-25. The result is crushing my over ranked level. I've gone from Gold 4 to silver 2. Even if I win 4 games in a row, it all goes away with one loss. This is literally making it impossible for me to climb back up. and if I lose 2 games in a row, then I'm back at zero LP and get demoted shortly after. Now I'm getting matched with players who have never played ranked games and/or are doing their first 10.

What's going on and how can I fix this?

The games MMR system has you pegged in a lower tier than you're playing in. It is trying to push you back down to match your MMR. To get it even again, you simply have to keep winning. It will suck, there is no doubt.

This is happening because you are playing against people who are supposedly lower than your level. you, originally a gold 4, are now against silver 2s. When the opponent is easier, you get less when you win and lose more if you lose

More then likely its your MMR. if you lose to people you should beat, you lose more

So in order to get passed this I have to win 7 games for every 1 I lose? Or should I just tank my rating down to "normal" levels to start gaining LP again.
